My Story

I'm a divorced, single Mom of three adult children and the grandmother of one. I am blessed to still have my parents with me and a to have a strong community of friends and peers. I did not always count my blessings; at times I couldnt even see them.  I was often blinded by overwhelm or discouraged by low self esteem. Doing the work has led to living my passion and generating revenue by showing up as my authentic self. The process was long but worth it. What I have learned, I love to share!

I am an accomplished Program Manager with a rich history of working alongside esteemed organizations like NASA, the ArmyCorps of Engineers, the Securities Exchange Commission, and the National Science Foundation, among others. As the CEO of Umi Connections Consulting, my fervor lies in supporting entrepreneurs and individuals navigating transitions,transforming their visions into reality. My focus is on achieving clarity, conquering overwhelm, and making pivotal, triumphant decisions.

At Umi Connections, I've cultivated a nurturing and inspiring environment tailored for small businesses. It's a space where visionaries can thrive, leveraging their potential to boldly confront the challenges of entrepreneurship. I firmly believe that with the right guidance and mindset, anyone can realize their personal and professional goals.

Driven by this passion, I've dedicated myself to serving the community, assuming board positions, most recently with AFCEA NOVA and ByteBack. My focus is on creating educational pathways that enhance access to career development opportunities.

During my consulting work, while presenting at a “Lead Your Ship” retreat, I identified a pressing need, became a licenced coach and founded the Queens Moves Coaching program. Originally designed to support women in transition, it has since expanded to encompass clients from all walks of life. As a transformational life coach, I bring a profound wellspring of empathy and insight to my practice. My coaching style is analytical, equipping clients with the skills they need to thrive and embracingtheir fullest potential for a truly fulfilling life.
